Changes in global climate heterogeneity under the 21st century global warming

چکیده
Variations in climate types are commonly used to describe changes natural vegetation cover response global change. However, few attempts have been made quantify the heterogeneous dynamics of types. In this study, based on Coupled Model Intercomparison Project phase 5 (CMIP5) historical and representative concentration pathway (RCP) runs from 18 models, we Shannon’s Diversity Index (SHDI) Simpson’s (SIDI) characterise heterogeneity a morphological perspective. Our results show that calculated by SHDI/SIDI indices decreased 1901 2095 at significance level 0.01. As radiative forcing intensified RCP 2.6 8.5, significantly. Furthermore, observed spatial distribution was significantly reduced, with pronounced latitudinal trend. Sensitivity analysis indicated temperature increase played more significant role reducing than precipitation under three warming scenarios, which is possibly attributed anthropogenic forcing. findings suggest can be an effective means quantifying biodiversity loss.

Rainfall in the climate system: changes under global warming, and challenges for climate modelers
Anyone who has ever been drenched by a sudden downpour that failed to follow the weather forecast has a feeling for the problem that faces climate modelers. Small-scale features like thunderstorms, in which the core might be 5 km across, are much harder to predict in global models for weather and climate then are quantities like temperature that tend to vary on larger scales. Rain and snowfall,...

INTRODUCTION Since the end of the 1990s, globalization has become a common term, facilitated by the social media of today and the growing public awareness of life-threatening problems common to all people, such as global warming, global security and global divides. REVIEW For the main parameters of health like the burden of disease, life expectancy and healthy life expectancy, extreme discrep...
متن کاملVentilation under global warming
Since the upper ocean takes up much of the heat added to the earth system by an-thropogenic global warming, one would expect that global warming would lead to an increase in stratification and a decrease in the ventilation of the ocean interior. However , multiple simulations in global coupled climate models using an ideal age tracer 5 which is set to zero in the mixed layer and ages at 1 yr/yr...

Chronic conditions currently account for more than half of the global disease burden and are a primary challenge for 21st century healthcare systems. This is a dramatic shift from the health concerns of the 20th century, when acute infectious diseases were the primary focus in every country. While the world is experiencing a rapid transition from acute diseases to chronic health problems, train...
متن کاملGlobal Warming? The Early Twentieth Century
As man is now changing the composition of the atmosphere at a rate which must be very exceptional on the geological time scale, it is natural to seek for the probable effects of such a change. From the best laboratory observations it appears that the principal result of increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide would be a gradual increase in the mean temperature of the colder regions of the earth. ...
